Privacy Policy
Your privacy is important to us.
Name or contact information are only collected on this site to enable comment functionality. As such, you are not required to provide your real name when commenting on any post. Please note, however, that real (or at least, consistent) name usage in online dialog tends to lend credibility and authenticity to your comments.
In particular, the Seattle Bodywork Cooperative site does not:
- Collect “Personally Identifiable Information” (or PII) such as complete residence or business addresses, or social security numbers on an insecure connection.
- Collect health information or personal history data over an insecure connection.
- Store any information of any kind any longer than is absolutely necessary.
- Send any email, instant message, text message, automated voice message, or any other communication soliciting any form of financial information. Remember: Never share your critical data with any company, group, or individual, unless you initiated the exchange.
- Sell, lease, or otherwise share any usage data about you or your computer (or phone or other browsing device).
The only data collected about your visit to our site is used by our advertisers and publishing platform:
- Some advertisers or the ad management systems that bring them to us, may deposit cookies on your computer (small files that track usage data but not personal information).
- Our publishing platform (the software that drives the site) will ask for your name and email address if and when you choose to post a comment to one of our articles.
These data are entirely anonymous in nature and cannot be associated with you, your company, your device, or any other aspect of your particular browsing experience. These data are collected and analyzed anonymously for the purpose of streamlining site behavior. Again, nothing learned from a cookie deposited on your computer (or collected in a comment form) can be definitively associated with you, your company, or any organization you associate with.
And one more thing to put your mind at ease: We won’t throw lengthy and complex policy documents at you in an effort to hide our intentions, confuse and tire you, make you feel unqualified, or otherwise obfuscate. We’ll keep this policy as simple and as current as possible!
Sincerely,
Seattle Bodywork Cooperative
